New piece for the Mountain Research Initiative: 'The Tree on Top of the World'

I've spent the last few months living in the Andes of Ecuador, and helping my partner Heidi Asbjornsen with high-altitude research into Polylepis forests. Polylepis grow higher than any other tree in the world, often around high-altitude Paramo grasslands. I recently wrote this blog post for the Mountain Research Initiative, a worldwide NGO dedicated to high-altitude ecosystems research. Honored to help this great organization and this important climate-change research.
